The Measure of a Year
"I’ve learned to tie knots in the dark, machete the heads and legs off chickens, gauge water depth by its color, cut my own hair, jury-rig stripped outboard propellers, and enjoy the freedom of having freckles all over. But the truest measure of our year has been the friends we’ve made.
