 18 sanibel An Owner's Testimonial

"The perfect pocket yacht just might be the Sanibel, also known as the Commodore's Mate, Skippers Mate, or the Sanibel 18. To solve the problem of shallow draft, for ease of launching, shallow water cruising, and to have an open cabin floor the Sanibel has the keel made moveable and offset to the port side of center. Also the ballast is mounted inside of the hull letting the centerboard (keel) be of a light weight. What you have is a hull with nothing sticking out below, no heavy keel lifting mechanism to give trouble, and a cabin floor with nothing in the way. "
